Grimsby beats Dundas 4-0 as Currie gains shutout

Jeremy Currie recorded a shutout against the Dundas Blues as the Grimsby Peach Kings picked up a 4-0 win.

The win by Grimsby broke a deadlock and gave the Peach Kings a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Grimsby was led by James Thorpe, who tallied one goal and one assist. Thorpe scored 9:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Grimsby. Addison DeTullio picked up the assist.

The Peach Kings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Dundas power plays. Grimsby forced Dundas goalie Andrew Albano to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Grimsby also got points from Carson Macrae, who also had one goal and one assist. Grimsby also had goals scored by Aidan Board and Garnet McComber, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Grimsby were Matthew Jambrosich, Curtis Conrad, and Brady Cranwell, who each chipped in one.

The Blues' offense rang up 40 shots on the Peach Kings' net.

Grimsby's Currie stopped 40 shots out of the 40 that he faced. The Peach Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Albano rejected 35 shots on goal for Dundas. The Blues incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For Dundas, Liam Buckley was ejected from the game.
