Grimsby downs Dundas, 4-1

Brennan Smith had one point to lead the Grimsby Peach Kings to a 4-1 victory over the Dundas Blues.

 

With the win, Grimsby evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Peach Kings forced Dundas goalie Colin Bilik to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Grimsby also got points from Curtis Conrad, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Grimsby included Dillon Cipretti and Brady Cranwell, who scored one goal each. More assists for Grimsby came via Matthew Jambrosich, who had one and Kyle Kozielski, who had two.

The Blues were led by Domenic Procopio, who scored the team's only goal. Procopio scored 2:06 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cam McConnell assisted on the tally.

Jeremy Currie recorded 21 saves for Grimsby. The Peach Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Colin Bilik made 31 saves for Dundas on 35 shots. The Blues incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
