The Grand Valley State University Lakers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Adrian College Bulldog on the way to a 2-1 win.

Grand Valley State University made the score 2-0 on a goal by Tea Greca at 2:26 in the second period, and Adrian College got as close as 2-1 when Kirstin Labelle scored 13:25 into the third period.

Greca was all over the ice for the Lakers, as he had two goals in the win.

In addition, Grand Valley State University received assists from Haley Keary, Brelin Tasker, and Alexa Tenwalde, who contributed one each.

The Bulldog were held below their usual level of production. Adrian College averages 3.3 goals per game. The Bulldog's offense were handcuffed by Grand Valley State University's defensive play, and Adrian College managed only 12 shots on goal during the game.

More assists for Adrian College came via Jessica Rushing, who had one.

Taylor Watson rejected 11 shots on goal for the Lakers. Grand Valley State University ended with no penalties and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Alison Dungey recorded 25 saves for the Bulldog. Adrian College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities.
