The Mooretown Flags' Joe DeSena had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 8-3 win over the Lakeshore Canadiens. DeSena's tallies came short handed at 19:20 into the first period to make the score 4-0 Mooretown and 15:13 into the third to make the score 8-2 Mooretown.The win by Mooretown clinched the best of seven series at 4-3. The Flags forced Canadiens' goalies to work without much rest, ripping 39 shots and forcing 31 saves. Colin Lauzon made 14 stops and Colin Tetreault made 17. Mooretown also got points from Ryan Lyle, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Mooretown included Jakob Reeves, who had two and Matt Brandon and Ben Morrison, who scored one goal each. In addition, Mooretown received assists from Mike Kindrachuk, Christian Lyle, Kyle Smith, and Landon Wilson, who each chipped in one. Lakeshore's offense rang up 43 shots on Mooretown's net. The Canadiens were led by Brenden Crundwell, who finished with two goals. Crundwell scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 5:18 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Mooretown. Lakeshore earned a power play opportunity when Brandon Johnson was put in the box for delay of game. Blake Rutckyj picked up the assist. Crundwell's next tally on the power play made the score 8-3 Mooretown with 1:05 left in the third period. Parker Boyle also scored for Lakeshore. More assists for Lakeshore came via Zack Bedard, Michael Long, and Sebastian Kanally, who contributed one each. Johnson recorded 40 saves for the Flags. Mooretown incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
