CT Wolfpack (MM) hangs on, beats Boston Advantage (MM) 4-2

CT Wolfpack (MM) beat Boston Advantage (MM), 4-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 5:59 into the first period by Peter Dziergas proved to be the game winner, and powered CT Wolfpack (MM) to the victory. Nicholas Leeseberg assisted on the tally.

ZACHARY WAGNER had a great game for CT Wolfpack (MM), netting two goals. WAGNER found the back of the net 1:11 into the second period to make the score 2-0 CT Wolfpack (MM) and again while 3:43 into the third to make the score 3-1 CT Wolfpack (MM).

CT Wolfpack (MM) stifled Boston Advantage (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. CT Wolfpack (MM) kept Boston Advantage (MM)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Josh Mayanja made 37 saves on 41 shots.

CT Wolfpack (MM) also got a goal from Remi Selerier as well. More assists for CT Wolfpack (MM) came via Eugene Lim, Matthew Sanca, and Ryan Gil, who each chipped in one.

CT Wolfpack (MM) was unable to stop Boston Advantage (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Boston Advantage (MM) eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Boston Advantage (MM) was led by Matt Rutigliano, who racked up two goals. Rutigliano scored the first of his two goals at 7:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 CT Wolfpack (MM). Shawn Montgomery picked up the assist. Rutigliano's next tally made the score 3-2 CT Wolfpack (MM) with 4:02 left in the third period. Jake Mckenelley provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Boston Advantage (MM) were Tim Weinstein and Jake Hallisey, who contributed one each.

Tripp Hutchinson made 36 saves for CT Wolfpack (MM) on 38 shots. CT Wolfpack (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Boston Advantage (MM) incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
