Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) beats LA Jr. Kings (MM) 3-1 after comeback scare

LA Jr. Kings (MM) tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have LA Jr. Kings (MM) storm back on a Tanner Osterkamp goal 9:48 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) was paced by Taylor Urch, who finished with one goal. Urch scored 16:31 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM). Alec Grollman assisted on the tally.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LA Jr. Kings (MM) to score on any of its four power plays.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) additionally got points from Andre Ghantous, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Paul Selleck also scored for Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) were Jack Sitzman and Justin Driffill, who each chipped in one.
