Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) hangs on, beats LA Jr. Kings (MM) 2-0

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) took the lead against LA Jr. Kings (MM) in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory.

Jack Sitzman provided Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) with the game-winning tally when he scored 6:47 into the first period. Andre Ghantous picked up the assist.

Alexander Frosh spearheaded the defensive effort for Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM), as he did not allow a puck past him and made 29 saves for the shutout. Frosh managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.81 prior to the game.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM)'s penalty kill excelled, as Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) stifled LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) allows 3.0 goals per game. Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) kept LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Robert Jacobson made 36 saves on 38 shots. Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) also got a goal from Zachary Kiser as well. Other players who recorded assists for Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) were Paul Selleck, Kyle Mayhew, and Bryce Hunt, who each chipped in one.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) to score on any of its four power plays.
