DMA survives Springford comeback, wins 6-4

DMA came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Springford, but did just enough to escape with a 6-4 victory.

DMA led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when DMA's Markus Cook scored short handed at 15:38 in the second period to put DMA up 5-2.

Colin Emerich had two goals and two assists to lead DMA. Emerich scored the first of his two goals at 9:14 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Derek Golembrosky picked up the assist. Emerich's next tally made the score 2-1 DMA with 5:37 left in the first period. Golembrosky assisted on the tally.

DMA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Springford power plays.

DMA also got points from Cook, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Golembrosky, who also registered two goals and four assists to lead the team in points. In addition, DMA received assists from Jonathan Williams and Nick Cabara, who each chipped in one.

Springford managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Springford ended up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game.

Springford was led by Ryne Moore, who finished with two goals. Moore scored the first of his two goals at 3:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Springford. Christian Graff picked up the assist. Moore's next tally made the score 5-4 DMA with 13:34 left in the third period. Jeffrey DiGuiseppe assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Springford included Shayne Egleston and Thomas Freed, who each put in one. More assists for Springford came via Alex Barberini and Justin Pasquine, who contributed one each.

Julia Emerich made 18 saves for DMA on 22 shots. DMA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Adam Panzarella recorded 22 saves for Springford.
