Bagwell nets hat trick, leads Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) to 3-1 win over LA Jr. Kings (MM)

Trey Bagwell netted a hat trick to lead Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) over LA Jr. Kings (MM), 3-1.

Bagwell got on the scoresheet 11:53 into the second period. He then added goals at 11:02 into the third and at 17:43 into the third.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three LA Jr. Kings (MM) power plays. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) forced LA Jr. Kings (MM) goalie Robert Jacobson to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

In addition, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) received assists from Mason Vukonich, who had two and Brett Dillon, Jackson Nauss, Miles Lengyel, and Tristan Moss, who each chipped in one.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. LA Jr. Kings (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was led by Austin Bowkus, who scored the team's only goal. Bowkus scored 9:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LA Jr. Kings (MM). Troy Robertson provided the assist.

Ulysses Lalor recorded 17 saves for Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM). Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Robert Jacobson made 50 saves for LA Jr. Kings (MM) on 52 shots.
