LA Jr. Kings (MM) vanquishes San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) in shootout, 4-3

LA Jr. Kings (MM) and San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) both failed to score in overtime, but LA Jr. Kings (MM) won the game 4-3 after Troy Robertson's deciding goal in the shootout.

The shootout lasted for four attempts between the teams. In addition to the clincher, LA Jr. Kings (MM) got a shootout goal from Robertson.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) saw a three-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. LA Jr. Kings (MM) made the score 3-0 on a goal by Wyatt Light at 11:12 in the third period. San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) evened things up at 3-3 on a goal by Eric Pinsky at 17:23 in the third period.

San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) was unable to stop LA Jr. Kings (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and LA Jr. Kings (MM) eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. LA Jr. Kings (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was helped by Joseph Hebert, who registered one goal. Hebert scored 12:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LA Jr. Kings (MM). Ryan Ng picked up the assist. Tanner Osterkamp also scored for LA Jr. Kings (MM). More assists for LA Jr. Kings (MM) came via Jett Shibata, who had one and Auston Ghirardelli, who had two.

San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 12.0 minutes per game San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) had been spending in the box. San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) stifled LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM)'s offense rang up 32 shots on LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s net.

San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) also got a goal from Guillaume Bose as well. In addition, San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) received assists from Alexander Beckert, who had three and Cameron Ward and Dante DiNapoli, who contributed one each.

Robert Jacobson rejected 29 shots on goal for LA Jr. Kings (MM). LA Jr. Kings (MM) registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Morgan Kelly recorded 32 saves for San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM). San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM), Tyler Buchanan was ejected from the game.
