Michigan State University downs Davenport University in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Breana Kraut gave the Michigan State University Spartans a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Davenport University Panthers when he scored 1:42 into the extra period.

Michigan State University was led by goalie Hannah Johnson, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Johnson managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.7 prior to the game.

The Spartans were paced by Kraut, who tallied one goal.

Michigan State University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Davenport University to score on any of its four power plays. The Spartans kept the Panthers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Karley Ferguson made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Kelsey Cross also scored for Michigan State University. In addition, Michigan State University received assists from Kendall Clary and Olivia Lord, who each chipped in one.

Davenport University was led by Jennifer Deane, who scored the team's only goal. Deane scored 4:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Davenport University. Adrienne Porcalla provided the assist.

Michigan State University incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Panthers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
