Cairns' hat trick boosts Little Britain over Georgina, 13-1

A hat trick by Keegan Cairns was the highlight in Merchants' 13-1 win against the Georgina Ice.

Cairns got on the scoresheet 15:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:05 into the third and at 15:16 into the third.

The Little Britain Merchants scored early and often, and held a 4-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

Little Britain's offense rang up 69 shots on Georgina's net. The Merchants outdid their season average for goals scored. Little Britain has scored at the pace of 4.5 goals per game during the current campaign. The Merchants capitalized on the Ice's penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Little Britain additionally got points from Hayden Long, who also finished with three goals and one assist, Aidan Renouf, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Kenzie Smith, who also racked up three goals and one assist. Little Britain also got a goal from Michael Cox as well. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Terry Snoddon, who had two, Nathan Watson, who had four, and Mitchell Brown, Blake Abbott, Derek Risebrough, Jesse Beers, and #$self.jersey, who contributed one each.

Garrett Haden made 21 saves for Little Britain on 22 shots. The Merchants incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Grant Campbell recorded 56 saves for Georgina. The Ice incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
