Stewart nets hat trick, leads M3-Indiana Tech to 6-3 win over M2 Eastern Illinois University

Eric Stewart netted a hat trick to lead M3-Indiana Tech over M2 Eastern Illinois University, 6-3.

Stewart's first goal came seven seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 10:28 into the second and at 17:28 into the second.

M3-Indiana Tech pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 17 penalty minutes.

The defense for M3-Indiana Tech played an important role offensively, racking up 16 shots on goal. M3-Indiana Tech put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 11.3 it averages per game.

M3-Indiana Tech additionally got points from Christian Sandberg, who also registered one goal and two assists and Connor Barney, who also had one goal and one assist. Tyler Grunden also scored for M3-Indiana Tech. In addition, M3-Indiana Tech received assists from Jacob Fallis and Alexander Wert, who contributed one each and Russell Smascz and Braden Susnik, who each chipped in two.
