M3-McKendree University beats M3-Robert Morris University-Peoria 3-2 after comeback scare

M3-Robert Morris University-Peoria tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but M3-McKendree University held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Ryan Sizer put M3-McKendree University up 3-1 in the third period, but M3-Robert Morris University-Peoria pulled to within one on Joe Dobbeleare's tally 5:08 into the third period.

M3-McKendree University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 28 penalty minutes.

M3-McKendree University forced M3-Robert Morris University-Peoria's goalies to work in net, launching 36 shots and forcing 33 saves. Zac Cook made 25 stops and Cameron Harron made eight. M3-McKendree University was held below its usual level of production. M3-McKendree University puts an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game.

M3-McKendree University also got points from Dylan Mueth, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
