St. Andrews College blows out Appleby College, 5-0

The St. Andrews College Saints had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Appleby College Blue Dogs.

St. Andrews College was led by Corey Andonovski, who grabbed one goal. Andonovski scored short handed 40 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Andrews College. William Sirman provided the assist.

The Saints excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Andrews College forced Appleby College goalie Nicolas Solari to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

St. Andrews College also got points from Alex MacDonald, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Lucas Thorne, Mitchell Martan, and Mack Falconer, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Regan Kimens, who had two and Reid Yochim, Jacob Miller, and Ryan OConnell, who contributed one each.

Cole Chapman rejected 22 shots on goal for the Saints. St. Andrews College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nicolas Solari made 39 saves for the Blue Dogs on 44 shots. Appleby College incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
