Ridley College boosted by Lawr's play in net, beats St. Michaels College 2-1

The Ridley College Tigers relied on the sparkling performance of Deacon Lawr in net to grab a 2-1 win against the St. Michaels College Majors.

St. Michaels College's power play was ineffective against Ridley College's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Tigers were paced by Carson Edwardson, who registered one goal. Edwardson scored 5:39 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Ridley College. Riley McCourt provided the assist.

Ridley College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine St. Michaels College power plays. The Tigers kept the Majors' goalie busy throughout the game, and Dylan Alikhan made 38 saves on 40 shots. Ridley College was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes.

Brandon Skubel also scored for Ridley College. Other players who recorded assists for Ridley College were Cole Cameron and Adam Pys, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels College stifled the Tigers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Majors were led by Adam Plouffe, who scored the team's only goal. Plouffe scored 13:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels College. Brendan Byrne assisted on the tally.

Lawr rejected 27 shots on goal for Ridley College. The Tigers registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. St. Michaels College incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
