The Nichols School Vikings and the St. Michaels College Majors skate to 3-3 tieNichols School Sat, Feb 06, 2016 Even though St. Michaels College's Jonah Alexander netted two goals and Nick Salamon contributed two points, the Majors was held to a tie by Nichols School, 3-3. The Vikings stifled St. Michaels College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Majors were unable to stop Nichols School from sending pucks towards the net, and the Vikings eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Nichols School was led by Cole Donhauser, who finished with two goals. Donhauser scored the first of his two goals at 14:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nichols School. Brandon Hausler provided the assist. Donhauser's next tally made the score 3-2 Nichols School with 7:40 left in the second period. Hausler picked up the assist. Nichols School also got a goal from Matt Gasuik as well. More assists for Nichols School came via Tom Elia, Erik Urbank, and Jack Millar, who contributed one each. St. Michaels College also got points from Salamon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels College were Conner McCauley, Adam Plouffe, Luke Andrews, and Daniel Cullen, who each chipped in one. The Vikings' Jerry Baerwitz stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Nichols School incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mark Nesbitt made 33 saves for St. Michaels College on 36 shots. The Majors incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
