St. Andrews College blows out Upper Canada College, 5-1LaBrier Family Arena Wed, Jan 13, 2016 The St. Andrews College Saints had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Upper Canada College Blues. St. Andrews College's penalty kill excelled, as the Saints gave up zero goals despite allowing 10 power plays. St. Andrews College was led by Jacob Miller, who tallied one goal and one assist. Miller scored 3:40 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Andrews College. Morgan Barron picked up the assist. The Saints stifled Upper Canada College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Andrews College's offense rang up 38 shots on the Blues' net. The Saints were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 22 penalty minutes. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Mitchell Martan, William Sirman, Reid Yochim, and Corey Andonovski, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for St. Andrews College were Lucas Thorne, Kyle Hunter, Otto Saarimaa, Connor Ali, and Ryan OConnell, who contributed one each. Upper Canada College's offense was handcuffed by St. Andrews College's defensive play, and the Blues managed only 13 shots on goal during the game. Upper Canada College was led by Brandon Grant, who scored the team's only goal. Grant scored 3:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Andrews College. Samuel Morin provided the assist. Cole Chapman recorded 12 saves for the Saints. St. Andrews College registered one goal on five power play opportunities. The Blues' Luca Imbrogno stopped 33 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Upper Canada College incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
