Huge game by Clark boosts St. Andrews College over St. Michaels College, 13-0

Behind a great game by Kody Clark, who had two goals and three assists, the St. Andrews College Saints defeated the St. Michaels College Majors, 13-0.

Clark's tallies came at 6:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Andrews College and 13:25 into the third to make the score 11-0 St. Andrews College.

St. Andrews College pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Saints forced Majors' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 59 shots and forcing 46 saves. Mark Morrison made nine stops and Mark Nesbitt made 37. St. Andrews College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six St. Michaels College power plays. The Saints featured an improved defense during the game. St. Andrews College allows 2.1 goals per game. The Saints found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, St. Andrews College averages 6.5 goals per contest.

St. Andrews College also got points from William Sirman, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jacob Miller, who also had two goals and two assists, Morgan Barron, who also racked up two goals and two assists, and Regan Kimens, who also tallied two goals and two assists. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Mitchell Martan, who had two and Kyle Hunter and William Patterson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Andrews College were Connor Ali, who had three, Otto Saarimaa and Ryan OConnell, who each chipped in one, and Noah Lugli, Reid Yochim, Corey Andonovski, and Alex Newhook, who contributed two each.

St. Michaels College found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 12 shots against the Saints' defense.

Kristian Hufsky made 12 saves for St. Andrews College on 12 shots. The Saints registered one goal on two power play opportunities. The Majors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
