The Appleby College Blue Dogs and the St. Michaels College Majors skate to 3-3 tie

St. Michaels College trailed Appleby College by two in the first period, but the Majors did not give up and the game ended in a 3-3 tie.

The Blue Dogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Appleby College's offense rang up 39 shots on St. Michaels College's net. The Blue Dogs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Appleby College was helped by Michael Rubin, who racked up one goal. Rubin scored 3:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Appleby College. Callum Jones picked up the assist. Appleby College also got points from Jacob Gower, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Sammy English, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Appleby College received assists from Blake Mueller and Will Graham, who each chipped in one.

The Majors stifled the Blue Dogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Appleby College was unable to stop St. Michaels College from sending pucks towards the net, and the Majors eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. St. Michaels College's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Majors finished with 14 penalty minutes.

St. Michaels College was helped by Daniel Cullen, who had one goal. Cullen scored 1:38 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Cam Biniaris provided the assist. St. Michaels College additionally got points from Nick Salamon, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mac Caruana also scored for St. Michaels College. More assists for St. Michaels College came via Evan Scott, Patrick Yau, Conner McCauley, and Jonah Alexander, who contributed one each.

Nicolas Solari made 42 saves for the Blue Dogs on 45 shots. Appleby College registered zero goals on seven power play opportunities. Dylan Alikhan recorded 36 saves for the Majors.
