Sirman lifts St. Andrews College over Nichols School, 6-3

Behind a great game by William Sirman, who had two goals, the St. Andrews College Saints defeated the Nichols School Vikings, 6-3.

Sirman scored at 8:47 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Andrews College and again while 8:35 into the third to make the score 3-1 St. Andrews College.

St. Andrews College forced Nichols School's goaltenders to work all game long, getting 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. Jerry Baerwitz made 29 stops and Josh Graziano made three.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Alex MacDonald, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Regan Kimens, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Reid Yochim and Corey Andonovski, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Mitchell Martan, who had three and Connor Ali and Ryan OConnell, who contributed one each.

The Vikings were held below their usual level of production. Nichols School averages 6.5 goals per game. The Vikings' offense rang up 31 shots on the Saints' net.

Nichols School was helped by Connor Zak, who grabbed one goal. Zak scored 4:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nichols School. Jack Millar provided the assist. Others who scored for Nichols School included Anthony Scanzuso and Cole Donhauser, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Nichols School were Matt Gasuik, Steve Senese, and Erik Urbank, who each chipped in one.

St. Andrews College's Cole Chapman stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Saints incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Vikings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
