Jersey Shore blows out New York, 8-4

Jersey Shore had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-4 win over New York.

Jersey Shore got the win with help from a great game by Dylan Plsek, who had one goal and three assists. Plsek scored 13:45 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Jersey Shore.

Jersey Shore forced New York's goalies to work in net, launching 62 shots and forcing 54 saves. Stephen Mundinger made 44 stops and Anthony DiGiorgio made 10.

Jersey Shore also got points from Christian Cooley, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Jersey Shore included Frederic Ampleman, who had two and Scott Hansen, Jared Karas, Travis Valvo, and Tyler Goclan, who each put in one. More assists for Jersey Shore came via Freddie Schaljo, who had one and Frederic Villeneuve, who had two.

New York was helped by Phillip Garcia, who finished with one goal. Garcia scored 15:47 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Jersey Shore. Daniel Backstrom provided the assist. New York additionally got points from Backstrom, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Jimmy Warrick, who also registered one goal and one assist. New York also got a goal from Alex Rojas as well. In addition, New York received assists from Robert Kalata, who had two and Sam Shaheen and Nick Jean-Louis, who each chipped in one.

Jersey Shore's Scott Albertoni stopped 18 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Jersey Shore incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. New York incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
