A goal by Janelle Pascoe put W2 University of Alaska up 4-0 in the third period, but W2 College of St. Scholastica pulled to within two on Melina Avinon's tally 19:26 into the third period. Cayla Wiita was all over the ice for W2 University of Alaska, as he had two goals in the win. Wiita scored at 11:36 into the second period to make the score 1-0 W2 University of Alaska and again while 19:31 into the second to make the score 3-0 W2 University of Alaska. W2 University of Alaska's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three W2 College of St. Scholastica power plays. W2 University of Alaska forced W2 College of St. Scholastica goalie Ellyn Shomion to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The defensemen of W2 University of Alaska were also effective in W2 College of St. Scholastica's zone, and came away with two goals. W2 University of Alaska additionally got points from Pascoe, who also registered one goal and one assist. Abigail Brice also scored for W2 University of Alaska. Other players who recorded assists for W2 University of Alaska were Allye Brodie, who had one. W2 College of St. Scholastica managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. W2 College of St. Scholastica finished below its season average of 3.0 penalty minutes per game. In addition, W2 College of St. Scholastica received assists from Hannah Dougherty, Erin Cullen, and Madeline Gregersen, who each chipped in one.
