Clarington downs Little Britain, 6-2

Liam Rowe racked up one point to lead the Clarington Eagles to a 6-2 victory over the Little Britain Merchants.

In the losing effort, Little Britain was sparked by Terry Snoddon, who had two goals. Snoddon scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Clarington. The Merchants had taken the advantage when Clarington's Rowe got sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Kenzie Smith assisted on the tally. Snoddon's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 1:48 left in the first period. Smith picked up the assist.

The Eagles forced Little Britain goalie Adam Harris to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Clarington cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances.

Clarington additionally got points from Dylan Howorko, who also registered one goal and one assist, Justin Holiad, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Cody Kean, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Dan Michel, who also had one goal and one assist. Jordan Neuman also scored for Clarington. In addition, Clarington received assists from Collin Weston, who had three and Mitchell Marchbank, Mackenzie Morissette, and William Lamoureux, who contributed one each.

The Merchants' offense operated below their season average. Little Britain averages 4.7 goals per game.

More assists for Little Britain came via Jesse Craig and Derek Risebrough, who each chipped in one.

The Eagles' Zack Wainman stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Clarington incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Adam Harris made 33 saves for the Merchants on 39 shots. Little Britain incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
