Huge game by White boosts Vermont University of over Northeastern University, 3-1

Behind a great game by Sarah White, who had two goals and one assist, the Vermont University of Catamounts defeated the Northeastern University Huskies, 3-1.

White's tallies came at 34 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Vermont University of and 8:45 into the third to make the score 3-1 Vermont University of.

Vermont University of was led by goalie Rosalie Gluck, who finished with 37 saves while allowing one goal. Gluck certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.0 entering the contest.

The Catamounts' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Northeastern University power plays. Northeastern University was unable to stop Vermont University of from sending pucks towards the net, and the Catamounts eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Vermont University of also got points from Emily Ford, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Vermont University of came via Bethany Kelly, who had one and Carly Tashman, who had two.

The Huskies' offense rang up 38 shots on Vermont University of's net.

Northeastern University was led by Clara Karastury, who scored the team's only goal. Karastury scored 14:57 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cory Leblanc picked up the assist.

The Catamounts incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Anne Marie Dion made 37 saves for the Huskies on 40 shots.
