M3-Vanderbilt University blows out M3-Mississippi University of, 5-2

M3-Vanderbilt University had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over M3-Mississippi University of.

M3-Vanderbilt University's penalty kill excelled, as M3-Vanderbilt University gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

M3-Vanderbilt University stifled M3-Mississippi University of's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M3-Vanderbilt University forced M3-Mississippi University of goalie Justin Ragland to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. M3-Vanderbilt University was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 18 penalty minutes.

M3-Vanderbilt University was led by Blake Beber, who registered two goals and two assists. Beber scored the first of his two goals at 15:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Vanderbilt University. John Longman picked up the assist.
