Burrell nets hat trick, leads Liberty University to 13-2 win over Penn State UniversityPegula Ice Arena Sat, Feb 13, 2016 Catharine Burrell lifted the Liberty University Flames to a 13-2 victory with a hat trick against the Penn State University Nitty Lions. Burrell notched his first tally 15:45 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:17 into the second and at 15:50 into the second.Liberty University forced Nitty Lions' goalies to work in net, getting 37 shots and forcing 24 saves. Allyssa Long made 14 stops and Sumire Clevenger made 10. The Flames surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Liberty University averages 5.3 goals per contest. Liberty University additionally got points from Lauren Mcdonald, who also registered one goal and two assists, Carrie Jickling, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Nikki Mccombe, who also had one goal and one assist, and Lauren Pillisch, who also tallied one goal and one assist.
