The Davenport University Panthers relied on the scoring touch of Adrienne Porcalla, who netted two goals, to beat the Penn State University Nitty Lions, 2-1.

Porcalla scored at 6:30 into the third period to make the score 1-1 and again while 14:04 into the third to make the score 2-1 Davenport University.

Davenport University was led by goalie Karley Ferguson, who finished with 37 saves while allowing one goal. Ferguson certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.38 entering the contest.

In addition, Davenport University received assists from Patsy Howe, Lexie Boydston, and Tori Dubuc, who contributed one each.

Penn State University forced the Panthers goalie Ferguson to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

The Nitty Lions were led by Darby Kern, who scored the team's only goal. Kern scored 6:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Penn State University. Anna Marcus provided the assist.

Davenport University incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Allyssa Long recorded 24 saves for Penn State University. The Nitty Lions incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
