RMC survives Fighting Mongoose comeback, wins 4-2

RMC, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Fighting Mongoose and clinched a 4-2 victory.

RMC led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when RMC's Frank Pang scored at 10:04 in the second period to put RMC up 4-1.

RMC got the win on the strength of a great game by James Ujimoto, who had one goal and two assists. Ujimoto scored 1:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 RMC. Jesse Rankin picked up the assist.

In a losing effort, Fighting Mongoose was led by Greg Fritz, who registered two goals. Fritz scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 15:22 into the first period to make the score 2-1 RMC. Fighting Mongoose had gotten the advantage when RMC's Amritpal Gill was sent off for tripping. Jesse Anglet assisted on the tally. Fritz's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 RMC with 8:36 left in the second period. Adrian Cremayer provided the assist.

The defensemen of RMC were also effective in Fighting Mongoose's zone, and came away with two goals.

RMC also had goals scored by Edmund Chow and Chris Umemura, who each put in one. In addition, RMC received assists from Ivan Tsang, who had two.

Fighting Mongoose excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Gill rejected 25 shots on goal for RMC. RMC incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Haydn Evans recorded 26 saves for Fighting Mongoose. Fighting Mongoose incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
