K.O. Squad falls to Mad Hatters after surprising comebackPoirier Forum Thu, Oct 15, 2015 Mad Hatters climbed out of a four-goal hole to beat K.O. Squad, 6-5. Mad Hatters let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a four hole to pick up the win. Mad Hatters took a 5-4 advantage on a goal by Justin Darch at 10:51 in the second period. Mad Hatters found itself down 4-0 after K.O. Squad's Ken Cheung put the puck home at 1:11 in the second period. After evening things up at 5-5 on a goal by Jason Lo at 19:16 in the second, Mad Hatters got the game-winner from Trevor Crane at 19:41 in the second period. Crane had two goals and two assists to lead Mad Hatters. Crane scored the first of his two goals at 9:49 into the second period to make the score 4-4. Crane's next tally made the score 6-5 Mad Hatters with 19 seconds left in the second period. Mad Hatters kept K.O. Squad's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sukh Cheema made 29 saves on 35 shots. Mad Hatters found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Mad Hatters averages 3.4 goals per contest. Mad Hatters did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering just one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Mad Hatters also got points from Jason Brunette, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Darch, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Nelson Yeo also scored for Mad Hatters. In addition, Mad Hatters received assists from Eugene Naldoza, Patric Yuen, Sean Toronchuk, and Manvir Sangha, who each chipped in one. K.O. Squad did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Adriano Fasciglione rejected 24 shots on goal for Mad Hatters. Mad Hatters registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. K.O. Squad registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
