Huge game by Jickling boosts Liberty University over Davenport University, 3-0

Behind a great game by Carrie Jickling, who had one goal and two assists, the Liberty University Flames defeated the Davenport University Panthers, 3-0.

Jickling got on the board by slotting home a goal 5:39 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Liberty University. Catharine Burrell provided the assist. Jickling dished an assist on Burrell's goal that made the score 2-0 Liberty University at 10:35 into the second period. He added another helper on Chelsey Greenwood's goal that made the score 3-0 Liberty University at 17:31 into the third period.

Liberty University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Flames' offense operated below their season average. Liberty University averages 5.1 goals per game.

Liberty University additionally got points from Burrell, who also racked up one goal and two assists. More assists for Liberty University came via Courtney Gilmour, who had one.

Davenport University did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Panthers put an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game.

The Flames incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Davenport University incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
