Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) outlasts North Jersey Avalanche (MM), 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) escaped with a 3-2 victory over North Jersey Avalanche (MM).

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jake Horacek at 12:54 of the third period.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) was paced by Horacek, who tallied one goal.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) forced North Jersey Avalanche (MM)'s goalies to work all game long, racking up 35 shots and forcing 32 saves. Anthony Porrino made 10 stops and Joshua Sarlo made 22. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) also had goals scored by Alex Peterson and Noah Bradley, who each put in one. More assists for Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) came via Jarrett Slear, Tyler Riddle, and Joe Abel, who each chipped in one.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) was unable to stop North Jersey Avalanche (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and North Jersey Avalanche (MM) eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. North Jersey Avalanche (MM) struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 16 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays.

North Jersey Avalanche (MM) was helped by Matt Kidney, who grabbed one goal. Kidney scored 4:59 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Patrick Cozzi assisted on the tally. Nicholas Fea also scored for North Jersey Avalanche (MM). In addition, North Jersey Avalanche (MM) received assists from Hampton Bobby, Evan Wiscoky, and Tyler Antonucci, who contributed one each.
