The Michigan University of Wolverines and the Michigan State University Spartans skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Michigan University of trailed Michigan State University by two in the second period, but the Spartans did not give up and the game ended in a 2-2 (OT) tie.

Michigan State University was unable to stop the Wolverines from sending pucks towards the net, and Michigan University of eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

The Wolverines were helped by Jennifer Cusmano, who registered one goal. Cusmano scored on the power play 14:18 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Michigan State University. Michigan University of had gained a power play chance when Lyndsay Oden was whistled for tripping. Lia Harrington assisted on the tally. Michigan University of also got a goal from Mercedes Reyes as well. In addition, Michigan University of received assists from Emily Hotaling, who had one.

The Spartans were led by Kendall Clary, who tallied one goal and one assist. Clary scored 11:56 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Michigan State University. Kelsey Cross picked up the assist. Natalie Prisciandaro also scored for Michigan State University. More assists for Michigan State University came via Olivia Lord, who had one.

The Wolverines' Julia Chenoweth stopped 14 shots out of the 16 that he faced. Michigan University of incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Hannah Johnson rejected 36 shots on goal for Michigan State University. The Spartans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
