Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as M2 Saint Marys University Minneso defeated M2 Eastern Illinois University in a shootout 6-5 (2-0 SO).

The shootout lasted for five attempts between the teams. In addition to the clincher, M2 Saint Marys University Minneso got a shootout goal from Doyle Peterson.
