Impagliazzo nets hat trick, leads Unionville to 10-2 win over Great Valley

Joey Impagliazzo netted a hat trick to lead Unionville over Great Valley, 10-2.

Impagliazzo's first goal came 6:22 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:09 into the second and at 13:24 into the second.

Unionville kept Great Valley's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Dougherty made 48 saves on 58 shots. Unionville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Unionville averages 5.0 goals per contest. Unionville struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Great Valley to score two power play goals on three chances.

Unionville additionally got points from Danny Hargadon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Charles (David) Hagerty, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Jack McKenna, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Dan Brucker, who also registered one goal and one assist, Parker Wine, who also had one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, and Tyler Glennon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Unionville received assists from Aiden Masters, who had two and Thomas Thorley, John Hargadon, Thomas Miles, and Cade Lenkaitis, who each chipped in one.

Great Valley managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Great Valley ended up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. Great Valley did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 11 saves.

Great Valley was led by Matt Defusco, who finished with one goal and one assist. Defusco scored on the power play 7:13 into the third period to make the score 9-2 Unionville. Great Valley had gained a power play chance when Masters was whistled for holding. Max Hucker picked up the assist. Great Valley also got a goal from Sam Edwards as well.

Ben Basilio made five saves before being replaced by Michael Hansen, who took the win and made six saves. Unionville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
