Roman Catholic stifles Bishop Shanahan's comeback, gains 7-5 victory

Roman Catholic came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Bishop Shanahan, but did just enough to escape with a 7-5 victory.

Roman Catholic led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Roman Catholic's John Verrecchio scored at 12:06 in the second period to put Roman Catholic up 6-3.

Roman Catholic got the win thanks to a great game by Scott Megraw, who had two goals and two assists. Megraw scored the first of his two goals short handed at 43 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-2. Megraw's next tally short handed made the score 3-3 with 18:41 left in the second period. Jonathan Sechuk picked up the assist.

Roman Catholic's offense rang up 38 shots on Bishop Shanahan's net. Roman Catholic surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Roman Catholic averages 4.7 goals per game.

Roman Catholic additionally got points from Zachary Yeager, who also had one goal and one assist, Verrecchio, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Edward Verbitski, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
