Malvern Prep pulls away in second, rolls over Roman Catholic, 8-1

Roman Catholic was within striking distance after one period, but Malvern Prep put the pedal down in the second en route to an 8-1 victory.

Malvern Prep got the win behind a great game by Jake Swayze, who had one goal and two assists. Swayze scored on the power play 1:57 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Malvern Prep. Malvern Prep earned a power play opportunity when Patrick Stermel was put in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct. Nicholas Martino provided the assist.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
