Huge game by Catona boosts Ridley over Harriton, 14-4

Nick Catona was all over the ice for Ridley, as he tallied four goals and two assists in Ridley's 14-4 win over Harriton.

Catona notched his first tally 8:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:06 into the second, at 12:25 into the second, and at 15:25 into the second.

Ridley forced Harriton goalie Alex Krauss to work between the pipes, taking 60 shots. Ridley surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Ridley averages 7.3 goals per contest. Ridley's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. Ridley averages 1.3 goal allowed per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with four goals. Ridley's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Ridley finished with 36 penalty minutes.

Ridley also got points from Michael Giampapa, who also grabbed two goals and four assists, Brett Dunning, who also had one goal and one assist, Colin McCann, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Jake Cross, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Nate Dunning, who also registered two goals and two assists, and Nick Woods, who also had one goal and three assists. Ridley also got a goal from Thomas Plotts as well. In addition, Ridley received assists from Anthony Smythe, Michael Desio, and Eric Miller, who each chipped in one.

Harriton's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Harriton was helped by Joonas Knuutinen, who tallied one goal. Knuutinen scored 3:51 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Ridley. Nick Wert assisted on the tally. Harriton additionally got points from Sam Kirby, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Wert, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Jake Gross, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Harriton were Skyler Thomas and Julian Miazga, who contributed one each.

Wayne Shambo recorded 20 saves for Ridley. Ridley registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Alex Krauss made 46 saves for Harriton on 60 shots. Harriton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
