Conestoga blows out Harriton, 6-0IceLine Rink 1 Mon, Jan 18, 2016 Conestoga had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over Harriton. Mac Hamblett was all over the ice for Conestoga, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Hamblett scored 1:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Conestoga. Matt Cameron picked up the assist. Harriton's power play was ineffective against Conestoga's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Conestoga excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Conestoga kept Harriton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Krauss made 30 saves on 36 shots. Conestoga also got points from Cameron, who also grabbed two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. Conestoga also had goals scored by Will Delaney, Alex Lee, and Tate Kienzle, who scored one goal each. In addition, Conestoga received assists from Turner Kaufmann and Will Schnorr, who contributed one each. Harriton did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Harriton averages 4.2 goals per game. Malcolm Roeder recorded 17 saves for Conestoga. Conestoga incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Harriton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
