Rhode Island University of blows out Northeastern University, 8-1

The Rhode Island University of Rams had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over the Northeastern University Huskies.

Sydney Collins had a great game for Rhode Island University of, netting four goals. Collins got on the scoresheet 11:03 into the second period. He then added goals at 1:30 into the third, at 8:51 into the third, and at 11:57 into the third.

The Rams kept Northeastern University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Anne Marie Dion made 42 saves on 50 shots. Rhode Island University of surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Rams average 5.7 goals per game.

Rhode Island University of also got a goal from Alisha Difilippo as well. In addition, Rhode Island University of received assists from Monica Darby, who had one, Jacquelyn Keable, who had two, and Kristen Levesque and Brenna Callahan, who each chipped in three.

The Huskies earned a power play opportunity when Siobhan Kiernan was put in the box for hooking. Nicole Muir picked up the assist.
