Adrian College hangs on, beats Lindenwood Univ - Belleville 3-1

The Adrian College Bulldog took the lead against the Lindenwood Univ - Belleville Lynx in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory.

Adrian College took over the lead for good with a goal by Jessica Rushing at 3:12 in the first period. Nicole Paradis assisted on the tally.

The Bulldog were led by goalie Alison Dungey, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Dungey will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.08.

Adrian College was led by Summer Frey, who registered one goal. Frey scored 10:57 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Adrian College. Sabrena Camp picked up the assist.

The Bulldog forced Lindenwood Univ - Belleville goalie Firth Bidois to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Adrian College also got a goal from Nichole Laflamme as well. More assists for Adrian College came via Alicia Tait and Kaillie Hardy, who each chipped in one.

The Lynx's offense operated below their season average. Lindenwood Univ - Belleville puts an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game. Adrian College was unable to stop the Lynx from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindenwood Univ - Belleville eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

The Lynx were led by Alahna Stivers, who scored the team's only goal. Stivers scored on the power play 14:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Adrian College. Lindenwood Univ - Belleville had gained a power play chance when Laflamme was whistled for cross checking. Nikole Day assisted on the tally.

The Bulldog incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Firth Bidois made 38 saves for the Lynx on 41 shots. Lindenwood Univ - Belleville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
