Adrian College blows out Ohio State University, 6-0Arlington Sat, Feb 13, 2016 The Adrian College Bulldog had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over the Ohio State University Buckeyes. Adrian College was led by Nichole Laflamme, who finished with one goal and one assist. Laflamme scored 6:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Adrian College. Summer Frey picked up the assist. The Bulldog put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ohio State University to score on any of its three power plays. Adrian College forced the Buckeyes goalie Emily Ciborek to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots. The Bulldog surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Adrian College has scored at the pace of 3.4 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of the Bulldog were also effective in Ohio State University's zone, and came away with two goals. Others who scored for Adrian College included Jessica Fabbro, who had two and Kaillie Hardy, Nicole Paradis, and Lauren Hughes, who each put in one. More assists for Adrian College came via Kayla Vanston, Jessica Rushing, Katherine Barnes, Virginia Matherly, Kaylee Harnen, Demi Russo, Alexandra Godre, and Shannon Osland, who contributed one each. The Buckeyes did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting seven shots on net to force seven saves. Ellyn Stanton recorded seven saves for Adrian College. The Bulldog incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Ohio State University's Ciborek stopped 45 shots out of the 51 that he faced.
