Lindenwood Univ - Belleville survives Grand Valley State University comeback, wins 4-2

The Grand Valley State University Lakers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Lindenwood Univ - Belleville Lynx held on for a 4-2 victory.

Lindenwood Univ - Belleville made the score 4-1 on a goal by Jessica Moon at 18:34 in the third period, and Grand Valley State University got as close as 4-2 when Tea Greca scored 18:50 into the third period.

Ashley Dietmeier had a great game for the Lynx, netting two goals. Dietmeier's tallies came at 3:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindenwood Univ - Belleville and 18:00 into the first to make the score 2-1 Lindenwood Univ - Belleville.

Lindenwood Univ - Belleville stifled the Lakers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Reagan Fuller also scored for Lindenwood Univ - Belleville. In addition, Lindenwood Univ - Belleville received assists from Hayley Winker, who had one and Alahna Stivers, who had three.

Grand Valley State University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Lynx to score on any of their four power plays. Lindenwood Univ - Belleville was unable to stop the Lakers from sending pucks towards the net, and Grand Valley State University eventually piled up 49 shots on goal.

Grand Valley State University also got a goal from Brelin Tasker as well. Other players who recorded assists for Grand Valley State University were Kendra Myers, who had one.

Firth Bidois recorded 47 saves for the Lynx. Lindenwood Univ - Belleville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Taylor Watson made 13 saves for the Lakers on 17 shots. Grand Valley State University incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
