Kelly Hutton recorded a shutout against the Grand Valley State University Lakers as the Liberty University Flames picked up a 4-0 win.

Liberty University was sparked by Chelsey Greenwood, who registered one goal. Greenwood scored 30 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Liberty University. Nikki Mccombe picked up the assist.

The Flames put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Grand Valley State University to score on any of its four power plays.

Liberty University additionally got points from Lauren Mcdonald, who also had one goal and one assist and Carrie Jickling, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Liberty University also got a goal from Catharine Burrell as well. More assists for Liberty University came via Kjrstin Hoberg, who had one.
