Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the CIHA White Midget AAA White defeated the OHA U18 Midget AAA OHA U17 in a shootout 4-3 (2-0 SO).

The White saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. CIHA White Midget AAA made the score 3-1 on a goal by Semen Der-Arguchintsev at 9:59 in the second period. OHA U18 Midget AAA evened things up at 3-3 on a goal by Justin Poirier at 13:05 in the third period.

The White managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. CIHA White Midget AAA ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

CIHA White Midget AAA also got a goal from Braeden-Jay Wynne as well. In addition, CIHA White Midget AAA received assists from Gogolev, who had two and Khoi Manchester, Markus Odermatt, Jared Weber, and Jeremy Vasquez, who each chipped in one.

Justin Cheng also scored for OHA U18 Midget AAA. More assists for OHA U18 Midget AAA came via Kyle Foreman, who had two and Brad Jenion, Josh Kim, and Thomas Chaulk, who contributed one each.

Olivier Pimpare-Charbonneau made 19 saves for the White on 22 shots. CIHA White Midget AAA registered one goal on two power play opportunities. The OHA U17's Francis Asselin stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. OHA U18 Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
