The Cumberland Midget AAA Grads beat the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green, 2-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

The Grads were led by Noah Johnston, who had one goal. Johnston scored 2:36 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cumberland Midget AAA. Cannell assisted on the tally.

Cumberland Midget AAA forced Green's goalies to work all game long, racking up 32 shots and forcing 30 saves. Nathan Tripp made 15 stops and Ethan Hunt made 15.

Cumberland Midget AAA additionally got points from Cannell, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Cumberland Midget AAA were TJ Price, who had one.

CIHA Green Midget AAA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Grads to score on any of their four power plays.

The Green were led by Marc-Andre Lecouffe, who scored the team's only goal. Lecouffe scored 2:47 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cumberland Midget AAA. River Gull picked up the assist.

Cumberland Midget AAA's Kai Edmonds stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. CIHA Green Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities.
