Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 defeated the Nepean Midget AAA Raiders in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

OHA U17 Midget AAA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes.

The OHA U16 excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances.

OHA U17 Midget AAA was helped by Nikita Lopatin, who tallied one goal. Lopatin scored 3:55 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nicholas Abbott picked up the assist. Matthew Briggs also scored for OHA U17 Midget AAA. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Andre Guldbrandsen and Tod Philibert, who contributed one each.

Nepean Midget AAA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three OHA U17 Midget AAA power plays. The OHA U16 were unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Nepean Midget AAA eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Raiders were helped by Matt Arial, who racked up one goal. Arial scored 12 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nepean Midget AAA. Geoff Dempster assisted on the tally. Nepean Midget AAA also got a goal from Mackenzie White as well. More assists for Nepean Midget AAA came via Aidan Harris, Shawn Timlin, and Kyle Kuehni, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Caseley made 29 saves for OHA U17 Midget AAA on 31 shots. Marshall Frappier recorded 26 saves for Nepean Midget AAA. The Raiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
