Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the OHA U18 Midget AAA OHA U17 defeated the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green in a shootout 3-2 (2-0 SO).

The OHA U17 pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 12 penalty minutes.

OHA U18 Midget AAA was led by Heath Ford, who registered one goal. Ford scored 6:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 OHA U18 Midget AAA.

The OHA U17 put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CIHA Green Midget AAA to score on any of its six power plays.

Jon Vandermolen also scored for OHA U18 Midget AAA. In addition, OHA U18 Midget AAA received assists from Adam Porter, who had one.

The Green were led by Trevor Finch, who grabbed two goals. Finch scored the first of his two goals at 23 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 CIHA Green Midget AAA. Matthew Grouchy assisted on the tally. Finch's next tally made the score 2-2 with 1:49 left in the third period. Gregory Rogers picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA were Jacob Roberts and Jace Lis-DAlessandro, who each chipped in one.

Francis Asselin recorded 24 saves for OHA U18 Midget AAA. The OHA U17 registered one goal on four power play opportunities. CIHA Green Midget AAA's Ethan Hunt stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Green incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
