A hat trick by Nikita Lopatin was the highlight in OHA U16's 4-1 win against the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green.

CIHA Green Midget AAA was stymied by the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16's netminder Tyler Caseley, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. Caseley managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.3 prior to the game.

OHA U17 Midget AAA's penalty kill excelled, as the OHA U16 gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

OHA U17 Midget AAA stifled the Green's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The OHA U16 could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

Curtis Egert also scored for OHA U17 Midget AAA. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Cameron Roberts, who had two and Tanner Brown, Andre Guldbrandsen, Thomas Harper, and Yanick Leblanc, who each chipped in one.

CIHA Green Midget AAA found itself short handed often, totaling 14 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays.

The Green were led by Guillaume Pelchat, who scored the team's only goal. Pelchat scored 9:24 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Marc-Andre Lecouffe assisted on the tally.

CIHA Green Midget AAA's Ethan Hunt stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that he faced.
