OHA U17 Midget AAA squeaks by Kemptville Midget AAA, 4-3

The OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 gutted out a close 4-3 win against the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Andre Guldbrandsen at 15:03 of the third period.

Nikita Lopatin had a great game for OHA U17 Midget AAA, netting two goals. Lopatin's tallies came on the power play at 14:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 OHA U17 Midget AAA and 12:04 into the third to make the score 3-3.

The OHA U16's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Kemptville Midget AAA power plays.

Shane Ford also scored for OHA U17 Midget AAA. Other players who recorded assists for OHA U17 Midget AAA were Nicholas Abbott, who had two and Matthew Edgecombe, Tanner Brown, Thomas Callaghan, Curtis Egert, and Dylan Coffey, who each chipped in one.

Kemptville Midget AAA was helped by Devin Saumur, who finished with one goal. Saumur scored 4:35 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Kemptville Midget AAA. Dean Bucciarelli provided the assist. Others who scored for Kemptville Midget AAA included Mike Armstrong and Jarrett Williams, who scored one goal each. More assists for Kemptville Midget AAA came via Zach Cohen, Joel Holtrop, and Brady Elder, who contributed one each.

Dillon Lamarche made 21 saves for OHA U17 Midget AAA on 24 shots. The OHA U16 incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jacob Dioszeghy recorded 25 saves for the 73s. Kemptville Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
